COLORFUL MOROCCO  (itinerary of 10 days)

Day 1: MARRAKECH

Arrival in Marrakech. Transfer to the riad, dinner and overnight accommodation in a double room in B&B.

Day 2: MARRAKECH / AIT BEN HADDOU / OUARZAZATE (230 km.)

In the morning guided tour of Marrakech, Morocco downtown with its old town (Medina), its colorful souks, the famous square Jamaa el Fna and its animation day and night. After dinner march to Marrakech and go towards the south of Morocco. We will cross the Atlas from the port of  Tizi N’ Tichka, offering stunning views over the High Atlas Mountains before arriving at the Kasbah Telouet. After visiting the Kasbah Atlas will continue to cross over a track that connects with the splendid Telouet Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (recorded in the UNESCO World Heritage). Arrival in Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight in hotel or riad.

Day 3: OUARZAZATE / SKOURAS / BOUTAGHRAR / DADES VALLEY (70 km. asphalt and 90 km. of track)

We begin with a visit to the Lake of Ouarzazate and then cross the palm of Skoura. Here begins the trail into the mountains of Amgoune. We will see typical Berber villages and we can appreciate the beauty of the landscapes. Lunchtime in a Berber family in the village of Boutaghrart. After lunch we will move to the Valley of Roses, we track to the ties Gorges where we stayed at the hotel at the bottom of the gorges of Dades. Overnight in riad or hotel in half board.

Day 4: BOUMALNE  DADES / NEKOUB / ZAGORA (110 km asphalt, 100 km track)

Visit the kasbah of Glaoui before reaching Boumalne Dades and finally Iknioun village where the track starts going through the Gebal Saghro a chain of volcanic mountains. We will follow this trail to the village of N’Kob and have lunch. Then drive along the track along the Kasbahs, the Ksars, and the Draa River bordering the Draa Valley to Zagora. Overnight in a hotel or riad in half board.

Day 5: ZAGORA / MERZOUGA / RAMILIYA  (260 km of track throughout track)

Cross an Erg (stone desert), which is a real lunar landscape with huge stretches of dark stones out of sight, living it more or into the desert, several Berbers villages (where authentic nomads live in tents), oasis, wadis (rivers) and desert plains before reaching the golden dunes and roses, splendid and majestic the Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. Overnight in Auberge in Merzouga in a hotel or riad in half board.

Day 6: MERZOUGA / MERZOUGA (130 km every track)

After breakfast, we will return to the dunes and see: the 2 oasis of Merzouga, nomadic lands, the people of Khamlia (black people), Mifiss mines, desert plateaus the nomadic Berber oasis  Tissardmine. Return to the inn at about 3 p.m. Then, mounted on dromedaries, we head to the dunes to attend the sunset and sleep in a wild oasis located two hours away, in the desert. Night under the tent.

Day 7: RISSANI / TODRA GORGES / OUARZAZATE

Back to the hostel with camels, have breakfast and shower and then start leaving the desert to the Bedouin village Rissani and souk, visit its great and beautiful palm grove before following the road route to the famous gorges of Todra where we will eat. Visit the Todra and palm way to Ouarzazate by the road of a thousand kasbahs. Overnight in a hotel or riad in half board.

Day 8: OUARZAZATE / MARRAKECH / ESSAOUIRA (380 km.)

Link to the town of Marrakech red crossing the High Atlas and arrival at the enigmatic Portuguese colonial city of Essaouira. Dinner and overnight accommodation in a luxury riad in half board.

Day 9: ESSAOUIRA / MARRAKECH

In the morning visit the Medina, lunch at the door and then walks along the beaches of Essaouira, transfer to Marrakech. Accommodation in a riad.

Day 10: MARRAKECH – Menara Airport

Transfer to the airport and end of the route. Colorful Morocco.
